Quality Assurance Review (Accreditation)

Staff - Greener

Dear Parents of Christian Academy Students,

It’s time for a Quality Assurance Review for all Christian Academy schools!  We’ve been preparing for this event for years.  The nature of the school accreditation/quality review process has changed considerably since our last renewal visit in 2002, but we’ve kept up to date and continue to work toward compliance with accreditation standards and expectations.

The culmination of the accreditation renewal is a visit by a team of educators from accredited schools across our region.  This team will arrive on February 21 to visit all campuses and interview stakeholders, including parents, school improvement teams, teachers, administrators, board members, and groups of older students.  At the conclusion of the visit, the chair of the visiting team will report the findings.  This presentation is normally made to staff only; however, this year we want to include you in the process, so we plan to broadcast this presentation live from the English Station auditorium to each of our campuses on Wednesday, February 24 @ 3:30 p.m.  You are welcome to attend this broadcast at any of our campuses.

This Quality Assurance Review process provides the foundation of the accreditation of our schools.  Currently, individual Christian Academy schools are accredited or certified by regional agencies, states, and/or the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  At the conclusion of the upcoming visit, we expect all schools to be accredited by AdvancED/SACS (for KY schools), AdvancED/NCA (for IN schools), and ACSI.  Schools will also maintain their accreditation or certification status with their states.

We look forward to the opportunity to host these visitors on our campuses.  Their input will serve us well in providing the best possible education and environment for our students and families, so please give them a warm Christian Academy welcome!

In Christ,

Tim Greener
Superintendent
