Our Mission and Vision
Dear Parents,
Last month I promised to share with you some important information about our school. In this message, you will find links that will take you to information about our Mission and Vision statements. The administrative team, school board, and several committees made up of stakeholders have spent considerable time, effort, and prayer developing and refining these important documents.
You may be wondering why they are important. They are critical to us because they drive everything that we do. Every single program, chapel, class, extra-curricular activity, field trip - everything must fit our Mission or we will not do it. Our Vision defines where we are headed in the future (“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Prov. 29:18a) and the Strategic Plan (which I will share with you next month) provides the vehicle and accountability to accomplish what we believe the Lord has given us to do.
Our Vision can be summarized with three words – innovation, influence, and independence. Our Vision for innovation includes continued development of our web site with features like our Parent Resources section and continued development of research-based educational programs like Foundations & Frameworks. The influence portion of the Vision includes becoming a model Christian school of excellence that would serve as a resource to Christian schools worldwide in all areas of our operation. Finally, the independence we seek is primarily financial. We want to establish endowments, grow our foundation, and complete our current capital projects.

I would welcome your comments and feedback as you review these items. You were well represented on the committees that developed these documents, but I am always looking for ways to improve as we strive for excellence in all things.
