Max Godby Commits to University of Kentucky
(Louisville, KY) Max Godby, a 6-4, 265-lb. center for Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL), has committed as a preferred walk-on to continue his education and play football at the University of Kentucky. Godby formally made his commitment during a ceremony at the school on February 3.
Godby has been the center for all Christian Academy games since his sophomore season in 2007. He has been the team’s long snapper for the last three years and played defensive line the last two years. Godby was also named to the All-District Team for 2008 and 2009.
In addition to football, Godby is a member of the track and field team in shot put where he won the regional competition last year and competed at the state level.
Godby is a member of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the sports editor for the yearbook and is a cast member in the CAL production of Hello Dolly this spring.
