Lady Centurions Win Region Opening Round In Overtime
Allison Karst's last second layup at the buzzer gave Christian Academy the win over No. 2 Manual in the Seventh Region Girls Basketball Tournament opening round. CAL (24-6), is ranked No. 13 in the state and is pushing to win a trip to the state tournament for the second straight year.
Allison Karst had 21 points, six rebounds and four steals. Antonita Slaughter had 25 points and eight rebounds. Freshmen China Dow and Casey Marshall scored 11 each.
Next game for the Lady Centurions - Thursday, March 4th at 5 PM at Bellarmine University against Sacred Heart.
