ES Students Selected for Air Force Scholars Program
Congratulations to Alec Jarm, Drew Wilder, Conner Gallagher, Cole Skinker, Garret Gamble and Craig Lewellyn (not pictured) for being selected for the US Air Force Academy Venture Scholars Program. Only 19 students were selected from Kentucky for the program.

The US Air Force Academy Venture Scholars Summer Seminar allows high-performing high school students to spend one week (there are two sessions offered) at the United States Air Force Academy at the conclusion of their junior year.
In addition to living on the Air Force Academy's beautiful campus, Summer Seminar features a week filled with numerous academic workshops (of the students' choice) and some intramural sports. Moreover, this experience allows students to take a Candidate Fitness Assessment, get some brief drill and ceremony exposure, attend a few informational admissions meetings and go through the "doolie for a day" program (freshmen at the Academy are frequently referred to as "doolies," thus this feature allows high school students to gain an insight to the numerous facets of the complex freshmen year at the Academy).
All of the aforementioned features give their participants a greater understanding of the Air Force Academy and a chance to determine if the Academy might be a good fit as students' future undergraduate institution.
